2. "Socket Closed/Server did not respond to secure-handshake" - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Today it magically worked. What changed? The route no longer passes through BTC and Telecity, but via Telia. Before (non-working): sudo traceroute -T -p 26000 87.237.38.200 traceroute to 87.237.38.200 (87.237.38.200), 30 hops max, 40 byte packets...

3. "Socket Closed/Server did not respond to secure-handshake" - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Actually, removing the router didn't fix the issue, apparently it was a transient success. If I start simultaneously like 15 EVE clients, one or two are able to connect and get server status ("Status: OK XX,XXX players") then login is successful,...

Edited by: Karim alRashid on 17/01/2009 10:48:25 Removing the router and connecting directly to the cable modem makes the issue disappear. I've cleared cache, checked numerous times the settings of the firewall and the router, flashed new rou...

7. "Socket Closed/Server did not respond to secure-handshake" - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Same here. In addition, before entering password, the client spends some time on "Checking server ..." and then displays "Server: Tranquility" "Status: unknown". OS is Vista64.

8. Cant Connect - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Edited by: Karim alRashid on 31/03/2008 13:01:35 Maybe there's hope for some. It seems there was some rerouting in Level3, and the strangely behaving 4.68.106.93 is no longer present, compared old and new routing looks like (first 7 hops remov...
